STM-derived authentication engraving

A scanning-tunneling-microscopy-derived, aesthetically pleasing miniature engraving that provides access to a tamper-proof digital safe. This flawless traceability and authentication mark that manufacturers of high-value-added objects, from the watch and jewellery industry to the aerospace and medical instruments sectors, have been dreaming of will be previewed at the watchmaking know-how days “Autour du temps” in Plan-les-Ouates on 12 October 2023. It combines a digital certification system in the form of an NFT (non-fungible token) using a blockchain developed by Ocode, and an ultra-precise, contactless engraving method marketed by Phasis, a UNIGE spin-off.
