Marcello’s PhD Degree

Congratulations to Marcello Spera who successfully defended his PhD thesis on April 3, 2019. He performed a very detailed study of the charge density wave (CDW) ground state in 1T-TiSe2 by scanning tunneling microscopy. Main results include a striking energy dependent CDW patchwork and a rarely observed bias dependent contrast inversion.
