July 2025 – Congratulations on the successful PhD defense to Andreas Ørsted! He presented his work in public on 18 July 2025. Andreas used impurity doping in bulk transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) and space charge doping in exfoliated TMDs to tune the charge density wave (CDW) phase transition ON and OFF. The CDW was characterized using low temperature scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy in ultra high vacuum.
