We are investigating low dimensional correlated electron materials and devices by scanning probe microscopy and spectroscopy.

Current scientific projects include: Understanding the interplay between ordered electronic phases and superconductivity; Thickness and strain dependent electronic properties in layered superconducting and charge density wave systems; Tuning electronic properties by means of space charge doping; Spectroscopy of artificial 2D devices.

Current projects

The prime experimental techniques we use are scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and spectroscopy (STS) in combination with atomic force microscopy (AFM).
